Explore the best of the Jurassic Coast during this half-day tour from Weymouth!
Firstly we stop at Corfe Castle built in the 11th century by William the Conqueror. Learn how the Normans conquered this area and check out the 1000 year old village made entirely with Purbeck Stone! Then we head to the ancient Lulworth Cove and crumple rock formations. See how the tectonic plates shaped this landscape over 180 million years ago. Onto Durdle Door; a natural arch cut into limestone that’s the best preserved limestone arch n the world!
Listen to engaging commentary about each location and then enjoy free time to explore, refresh, grab an ice cream or cream tea! It’s up to you!

At each sight your guide will give you a brief description of the area, orientate you, talk to you about its history and explain its geology. You will then have FREE TIME to explore the area as you wish before moving on to the next sight.
Your tour starts and ends in Weymouth or Dorchester! Pick up is at Weymouth Train Station (DT4 7BN) or Dorchester South Station (DT1 1QX). Tour start time is 10AM – 4PM. In some cases we might be able to pick you up from your hotel or B&B. Get in touch!
This tour is PART GUIDED. This means your driver guide will engage you in commentary about each location and then you can enjoy free time to explore as you wish.

10:00 AM – Depart Weymouth Train Station
Meet and greet your guide for the day ahead on the Jurassic Coast. Your guide will explain how the day will work and go through the latest Covid safety measures.
11:00 AM – Corfe Castle
Here you’ll be able to explore Corfe Castle and Corfe Village. The imposing castle stood at the top of the hill is a must see! Built in the 11th Century by William the Conqueror it really has a story to tell!
12:30 PM – Lulworth Cove
Stroll down to the perfectly formed horse shoe shaped cove formed over 10,000 years ago; try no to be distracted by the wonderful coffee shops and tea rooms on the way! Dont forget to check out Stair Hole and Lulworth Crumple formed over 180million years ago!
2:00 PM – Durdle Door
Wander down the slope to the famous limestone archway! Said to be the most accessible and best preserved archway in the world, it really is a site to see. Spend time rummaging for fossils on the beach cove or just take in the awe inspiring view. Its up to you!
3:30 PM – Head back to Weymouth
Heading back through the Dorset countryside, start uploading those spectacular shots you caught to social media!
4:00 PM – Arrive at Weymouth

No refund will be made after the scheduled date or time of your tour departure.
Lovely day out! We originally wanted to do the longer tour, but just didnt have the time, this was great if you just want to see the best attractions on the Jurassic Coast! The tour takes you to Corfe, Lulworth and Durdle. Brilliant!
